Our Saviour Lives

Our Saviour is coming, so we wait
Isaiah sees visions and knows the future; he says our Saviour is coming, so we wait
The angel told Mary our Saviour is coming, so we wait
John has washed us in the river, but our Saviour is coming, so we wait
The storm is on the sea and we are afraid, but our Saviour is coming, so we wait.
Mary has seen the tomb, and we are starting to understand, our Saviour is coming, so we wait
The authorities are looking for us and we are hiding, but our Saviour is coming, so we wait

We were gathered in a room, afraid from the tomb
our Saviour came to find us, we let our own fear bind us
He gave us the Spirit; death, we shall not fear it
We are not waiting, no longer anticipating
the truth of the resurrection, we understand our own selection.
We cannot wait, we will not hate, the authorities will find us, but too late,

Our Saviour lives
We are not drunk, our Saviour lives
The tomb is empty, our Saviour lives
Thomas has seen and touched, our Saviour lives
Saul is on his way to Damascus, our Saviour lives
Saul has become Paul, our Saviour lives
The Kingdom has come, the Kingdom is here
Hallelujah, our Saviour lives
